I would love to know how you made these felted pieces so that the curly texture still comes through on the top of the piece. Is there a tutorial that you followed?
Hello Stephanie! Typically, on my wooly wednesday post(s), I feature guest artisan’s work… to share a common ‘fiber art’ love/project ideas and provide a little exposure perhaps. You may follow the ‘link’ to inquire further with the artisan. Also, on my pinterest page under ‘FELT’, I have pinned several resources for hand felting a ‘faux sheep pelt’. It involves as much careful pre-felting work (lay-out of the wool) as the actual felting process. If you have access to raw wool fleece, I suggest you play with it! We learn by trial and error. Begin with a small and easily manageable piece and grow from there. Best wishes!
