A comment to my recent blog post yesterday reminded me of this article I read in Spin-Off Magazine entitled Rent-A-Ruminant. It seems a Seattle-area company will bring a heard of forty to sixty goats to your location to eat unwanted brush and scrub. Forty goats can clear the vegetation from a quarter of an acre in three to five days, and many clients prefer the goats because they can cover steep or uneven terrain and eliminate the need for harmful chemical herbicides…and they’re walking fertilizer factories! One more reason to just LOVE goats!
