I’m happy to report I’m back from Charlevoix’s Castle Farm Fiber Festival. It was wonderful to visit old fiber friends and meet and talk with new artisans too! The show was full-up with 60 vendors! There was so much beautiful fiber works and fiber-related art (in many medias…leather, sculpture, rug-hooking, jewelry, etc). Something for everyone to be sure, with lots of inspiration from passionate people to go around! I’m told Saturday’s attendance was up a little from last year; no feed-back from Sunday’s attendance. I’m anxious to review my inventory and begin new fiber projects too!
The reality of taking the weekend ‘off’(???) has hit me like a ton of bricks – so I’ll be doing double-time to catch-up. The garden needs to be tended (as I’m told by my kids it rained most of the weekend…hmmm?), laundry is over-flowing and perhaps the most daunting task of UN-PACKING! But, I’ve already made a batch of ricotta with the goat’s milk – perhaps manicotti on the dinner menu? So, I feel better having been gone from my ‘girls’ the past few days!!! Thanks Matt & Katie!
Armada Fair is probably the next BIG event on our to-do list, coming mid-August!
Well, better get to work. Have a fantastic day! Jen
