I’ve been working on a ‘wooly’ special project for a friend of mine who happened to admire a pair of hand-felted wall hangings that I had created for my shop, Sheepy Hollow. She too is a fiber fanatic who also raises a small flock of sheep. For the past couple of years, she ships some of her sheep’s wool to Mac Ausland’s Woollen Mills on Price Edward Island to be woven into various blankets. The pair of lap blankets pictured here ‘display’ some of my fav needle felting subjects…prim folky sheep and a bit of nursery rhyme. I’ve added felted pom poms as embellishments to the four corners of the blankets too! I hope she likes the results! Custom orders welcome.
